Brookfield spin-off ARC has secured a permission to add another building on a 2.2-acre site at the Harwell Science and Innovation Campus near Didcot, Oxfordshire.
The construction of 45,000 sq ft of workspace, known as The Dexter Building, will begin later this year. The scheme is targeting to achieve BREEAM Excellent certification.
The proposed development, designed by ADP Architecture, will provide offices and plant facilities. It will also feature passive zones containing flexible workstations.
ARC has also proposed to create a 175-space car park and 37 cycle storage.
Dexter is set to benefit from more than £1bn of science infrastructure created at the campus, including the UK’s national synchrotron facility, the Diamond Light Source and the ISIS Neutron facility.
Carter Jonas advised ARC on planning.
