HC-One has agreed the acquisition of 122 care homes from Bupa for £300m.
The acquisition, which is subject to regulatory approval, will bring HC-One’s total number of care homes to around 350 and will make it the UK’s largest care-home operator.
Following the deal, Bupa will have some 150 care homes and six retirement villages. It plans to increase spending on refurbishment and building of care homes to £120m from £100m last year.
