The City of London Corporation has concluded in a report from consultant York Aviation that a third runway at Heathrow is preferable to a new airport in the Thames estuary and the expansion of London City Airport.
The report concludes Britain urgently needs new airport capacity and must consider “mixed mode” operations at Heathrow.
