Helical Bar execs double their money

FINANCE: Helical Bar executive pay ?doubled across the board in the last financial year with chief executive Mike Slade topping the table with a £3.3m package.


The property firm’s chief executive pocketed an annual cash bonus of £1.5m – up from £973,000 – alongside a £1.3m share award to drive the leap from last year’s £1.5m total remuneration.


Lieutenant Gerald Kaye took home £2.6m – up from £1.1m – boosted by £2.2m in cash and share bonuses and a further share award.


Kaye was followed by directors Matthew Bonning-Snook, with a £2.3m pay packet, and Jack Pitman, who also tipped the £2m mark.


Non-executive chairman Nigel McNair Scott also had a bumper year with a £862,000 share award, pushing his remuneration from £103,000 last year to more than £1m.


Helical Bar reported a record £101.7m pretax profit for the year ended March 2014.
