Helical Bar has bought the former Savills office in Manchester from Brack Capital Real Estate – its third purchase in the city in the last two years.
Fountain Court on Booth Street totals 26,000 sq ft and has been vacant since Savills moved over the road to the Belvedere five years ago.
Helical Bar plans to fully refurbish the building, creating 21,000 sq ft of offices and a 4,000 sq ft restaurant unit on the ground floor.
The purchase price was not disclosed.
The acquisition follows Helical’s purchase of Manchester’s 250,000 sq ft Churchgate & Lee House in 2014 and the 54,000 sq ft Dale House in 2015.
The refurbishment is due for completion in October 2016.
Brack Capital was advised by Commercial Properties and Ereira Mendoza; Helical Bar was unrepresented.
