Helical Bar has sold Oakwell 27, its 9,290 sq m (100,000 sq ft) warehouse close to Jctn 27 on the M62 near Leeds, for £4.3m to the British Aerospace Pension Fund. The deal reflects an initial yield of 9.4%.
Tenants on the estate include Spring Ram, Mars and Toys R Us who are all leasing space until 2004. Average rents on the estate stand at £40.90 per sq m (£3.80 per sq ft).
Jones Lang Wooton represented the pension fund while Hoddell Stotesbury acted for Helical Bar.
