WeWork forfeited its leases at Helical’s The Bower, EC1, last week, following rental arrears for the September quarter.
The flexible workspace provider had leases for six floors of the Old Street office building which were forfeited on Friday 27 October, Helical said in a stock exchange statement.
Helical has now agreed a short-term licence arrangement with WeWork, after it paid back the money it owed along with a service charge, and the company has since re-occupied the building.
A further update from Helical is expected in its half year results on 22 November. In the meantime the landlord said it is “working on next steps for the space”.
