Barratt Developments has become the third housebuilder to hail the government’s Help to Buy initiative as a catalyst for the housing market.
It follows similar statements from Crest Nicholson and Galliford Try, which both said the scheme was encouraging people to buy homes.
Barratt said it had received 400 reservations under Help to Buy and 9,000 expressions of interest.
