Blackpool Tower owner Trevor Hemmings and Graham Parr, former chairman of Pontin’s, could launch a combined bid to buy back the holiday camp operator which appointed administrators on Friday, reports The Times.
The Daily Telegraph notes weekend reports that suggested C&C Alpha Group was lining up a bid for Pontin’s. Santander dismissed Parr’s claims that it prematurely pulled the plug. The Guardian reports that administrator KPMG ruled out a fire sale. Santander is thought to be willing to fund Pontin’s as a going concern for several months, the newspaper says.
