Henderson plans Kidderminster retail

Kidderminster scheme 570p

Henderson and Wyre Forest district council have unveiled proposals to transform the Bull Ring in Kidderminster, Worcestershire.

The pair want to demolish office building Crown House and develop a new public square. At the 325,000 sq ft Weavers Wharf retail park, a new 56,833 sq ft shop and 9,687 sq ft of restaurants are planned.

The extension at Weavers Wharf would add an additional 9% of floor space to the asset.

A planning application is being prepared and is due for submission to Wyre Forest district council by the end of the year. Pending approval, work is likely to start in mid-2014 and complete in summer 2016.
