Henley adds to top team as developments gather pace

Henley Investment Management has appointed Jay Squier as managing director responsible for development and asset management of the company’s portfolio of multi sector projects in the UK and Europe.

Squier will join the business from Native Land, where he spent 14 years in the development team, culminating in the role of managing director, mixed use and commercial and was an executive director on the board.

Prior to Native Land, Squier was a development manager at Grosvenor.

Henley has several major urban regeneration sites under development in London, Manchester and Birmingham, along with the delivery of 6,500 homes and supporting amenities on 650-acre site at Ebbsfleet Garden City.

Henley Investment Management chief executive Ian Rickwood said: “We will be accelerating our development pipeline over the coming months with a number of major housing-led regeneration schemes across the UK which align with the ambitions of the new government; investing the capital needed to tackle the housing crisis and stimulate economic growth.

“It is a real coup for the business to bring Jay on board with his considerable expertise and track record.  He is a great fit for our senior leadership team and will spearhead our development drive while overseeing the asset management of our growing portfolio.”

Squier said: “I am thrilled to be joining Henley at such a tremendously exciting time for the company.  I am looking forward to working alongside such a fine calibre of entrepreneurial colleagues as part of a dynamic team, while helping deliver some fantastic projects.”
