Henley gets nod for beds and sheds in Ealing

Henley Investment Management has got the go ahead for the redevelopment of an underutilised site on Stanley Road, South Acton in Ealing, W3.

The mixed-use scheme, designed by HTA Architects, will provide 10,915 sq ft of purpose-built industrial workspace, replacing old industrial units with modern, flexible space. It will also include 140 new “tenure-blind” homes, with 35% intermediate and affordable rent homes.

The homes are co-located with the sheds, ensuring no industrial space is lost.

Henley chief executive Ian Rickwood said: “This important milestone is the result of extensive consultation with the council and local stakeholders and our development team looks forward to maintaining these close relationships moving forward.”

The plans were updated, after push-back from local stakeholders and residents over the size of the homes. Henley said the new plans reflected the latest policy and legislative standards, with the homes all now meeting national space standards, with dual aspects to enhance wellbeing. The residential blocks have also been upgraded to the latest fire safety standards, with two sets of stairs.
