H&M Hennes is tipped to be making its Manchester debut at the Co-operative Insurance Society’s Market Centre.
The fashion retailer is believed to taking a 4,370 sq m (47,000 sq ft) unit which fronts on to the popular Market Street area, in the heart of the city’s prime shopping pitch, next to the Arndale Centre
Meanwhile, TK Maxx is taking the 2,420 sq m (26,000 sq ft) unit on the upper floor. There will be an escalator link into the scheme from Brown Street to the rear.
The Market Centre totals 7,800 sq m (84,000 sq ft) of prime retail space.
Eddie Cottrell, associate director of joint letting agent DTZ Debenham Tie Leung, said: “Hennes is in negotiations with us, but so is another retailer. Nothing’s been signed yet. But you’re probably right about TK Maxx.”
CB Hillier Parker is the other agent.
