Henry Boot Developments has secured a 100,000 sq ft prelet to car components distributor Andrew Page at its 200-acre Markham Vale business park in Chesterfield, Derbyshire.
In the largest deal to date at the park, Andrew Page has taken a 15-year lease at a rent of £4.43 per sq ft.
Work will start on site mid-February and practical completion is due in July.
Matthew Smith, director at Jones Lang LaSalle, which advised the developer, said: “This deal highlights the appetite for prelets in the market, which we believe will be a growth area in 2012. Henry Boot can deliver competitively priced buildings in tight timescales. The programme for this project is only 20 weeks.”
Andrew Page has 62 branches, employing 1,600 people and is one of the UK’s largest distributors of car components, workshop equipment and tools.
