Sheffield-based developer Henry Boot has been given the green light for a £30m riverside scheme in
The retail-led development was given a recommendation for approval by Grimsby town centre’s special planning committee last week.
The scheme includes 150,540 sq ft of shops, 27 new flats, a new pedestrian and vehicle bridge across the River Freshney, a replacement water sports centre next to Alexandra Dock, and 290 car parking spaces.
Completion is scheduled for 2009.
Consultancy Alliance Planning helped prepare the planning application.
