Hermes and Alpha Flight take 90,000 sq ft in Crawley

Parcel carrier Hermes and Alpha Flight UK have signed leases for 90,000 sq ft on the Manor Royal Industrial Park in Crawley.

Aberdeen Asset Management, on behalf of an institutional investor client, has completed a 45,000 sq ft letting to Hermes at the Axial site. The deal is a 10-year lease at an initial rental of £292,936 per annum.

In-flight catering firm Alpha Flight UK has also taken 45,000 sq ft on the estate, under an agreement for lease, which will facilitate a refurbishment to CAT A.

The company will take a new lease until 2020 on completion of the project, at an initial rent of £220,000 per annum.

Aberdeen Asset Management was represented by Jones Lang LaSalle and FTDJOHNS.

Michael Deacon-Jackson at FTDJOHNS, said: “These two transactions prove that quality, refurbished units in Crawley with good links to both Gatwick Airport and the M23 will attract strong demand. These lettings are an excellent boost for the Crawley industrial market.”
