Hermes draws up plans for developments at Dundee shopping centre

Hermes has drawn up proposals for two new developments in the Wellgate shopping centre in Dundee that will add more than (75,350 sq ft (7,000 sq m) of retail space to the scheme.

The landlord, which manages the centre on behalf of the BT Pension Fund, is planning to transform the area around the Victoria Road entrance to create a (50,400 sq ft) 4,680 sq m unit over two floors.

It also wants to bridge over the service yard at Meadowside to create a 27,240 sq ft (2,530 sq m) unit trading on the second and third levels of the centre. Architects 3D designed the alteration.
