Hermes Real Estate Investment Management has appointed Marcus Palmer as head of real estate debt.
A former partner at Chalkhill Partners, Palmer will be based in London, reporting in to Ben Sanderson, director of international investment, HREIML.
Palmer has also held management roles at Anglo Irish Bank, Nama, RBS and Barclays Capital.
Chris Taylor, chief executive of Hermes Real Estate Investment Management, said: “Marcus’s extensive industry expertise, global experience and deep understanding of the UK and international real estate markets will provide direct support to the delivery of our real estate debt programme.”
