Hermes Real Estate Investment Management has appointed CBRE, MMX Retail and Lunson Mitchenall as leasing agents at thecentre:mk in Milton Keynes following a review.
CBRE and MMX Retail have been appointed to spearhead a drive to attract more premium brands to the centre, and Lunson Mitchenall has been selected to lead the catering and leisure leasing.
A number of brands have opened at the mall in the past 12 months including the first White Stuff in a UK shopping centre, Jamie’s Italian, Lakeland, Dr Martens and Crocs.
Gavin Murray, asset manager, HREIM, said: “Thecentre:mk is in a strong position, dominating a very large catchment area with no comparable competition in the region. Consequently, its appeal to brands is significant. At present, we are just at the beginning of a programme to transform thecentre:mk, and feel that our new agent team brings a combination of skills, energy and experience which will help us to do so.”
David Justice, partner at MMX Retail, added: “It is the perfect location for brands seeking a flagship presence in such a strong, undersupplied catchment.”
Theo Fordham, head of catering and leisure leasing at Lunson Mitchenall, added: “Thecentre:mk is a great opportunity for catering brands from across the spectrum to out-perform, from grab-and-go to fine dining. Our focus will be on delivering the optimum mix to complete thecentre:mk’s premium day-out offer.”
