Hermes Real Estate Investment Management has leased Capital House , 2 Festival Square in Edinburgh to global financial services company BNY Mellon.
BNY Mellon currently occupies 40% of the building, but has now agreed a lease for the entire 54,600 sq ft property.
The company will relocate employees from its Blenheim Place premises to Capital House in 2014.
Jones Lang LaSalle acted on behalf of BNY Mellon.
Ian Cody, asset manager, Hermes Real Estate Investment Management, said: “Over the coming years there is going to be a limited supply of good-quality office space in Edinburgh. This is a significant office letting for Hermes in the city.”
