High Road West shortlist down to Barratt, Lendlease and Linkcity

peacock-park-smallThe shortlist for the £1bn redevelopment of the High Road West Estate in Tottenham, N17, has been whittled down to three bidders by Haringey Council.

Barratt Developments, Lendlease Development and Linkcity (Bouygues) are in the running. A final decision will be announced in mid-2017.

Countryside, Stanhope and Taylor Wimpey have all dropped out.

The 27-acre scheme, adjacent to Tottenham Hotspur’s £900m stadium redevelopment, will deliver at least 1,400 new homes, community facilities and a new local centre with shops, restaurants and commercial and business space, as well as a new thoroughfare from the station to the stadium.

Cllr Alan Strickland, Haringey Council cabinet member for housing, regeneration and planning said: “Tottenham is a major regeneration priority for the borough and this ambitious scheme has developed following three years of consultation with the local community.”

GVA are advising the council.
