Highgate Holdings submits major plans for Shoreditch

Highgate-Holdings-Shoreditch-tower-CGi-Highgate Holdings – the largest hotel operator in Manhattan – has submitted plans for its major new mixed-use development in Shoreditch, as tipped by Estates Gazette.

The scheme, opposite Shoreditch High Street Overground Station, E1, will consist of a 30-storey tower comprising 127,000 sq ft of offices and a 200-room hotel, along with retail and restaurant space.

It will see 201-207 Shoreditch High Street, E1, and 1 Fairchild Street, EC2, cleared and redeveloped.

The developer has now lodged plans with Hackney council, after striking a development agreement with site owner Folgate Estates.

Highgate has also instructed BC Retail to secure around 20 sites of up to 400,000 sq ft to build up a major London portfolio.

CMA Planning advised on planning. Hanover Green is advising Highgate.
