Hillingdon in west London has been named and shamed as the “most nimby council” in the UK.
Hillingdon London Borough Council has rejected a higher proportion of planning applications than any other local authority over a 10-year period, government data shows.
The council has approved an average of 59% of applications. It was closely followed by Maldon in Essex, and Harrow in third place at 63%.
