Hines expresses interest in the Greek market

Hines is actively exploring an entry into the Greek market, despite the countries recent troubled history of political and economic uncertainty.

Lars Huber, chief executive of Hines in Europe, said that he expected the most likely opportunities to come in consumer-facing areas of the market.

“We are entering the Greek market despite political uncertainties… The Greek market is obviously six o’clock in the cycle. It is only the beginning of a recovery there but we see opportunity in the hospitality and retail sectors in particular and are exploring ways to invest.

“We have a team on the ground. We know we are pioneering but we think one day that will be rewarded.”
