Brace of senior hires at Hines

david-saundersHines has made two senior hires as it looks to expand its retail and student housing portfolios.

David Saunders (pictured) joins from Threesixty Developments as development director to oversee the growth of Hines’s student housing portfolio. Earlier this year, the firm launched its first move into the market with the acquisition of six development sites, with more expected to follow this year.

Saunders’ role will also involve adding to the firm’s core office portfolio, which presently totals more than 2.4m sq ft under management in the UK.

Intu’s Emme Haycock has been appointed to strengthen Hines’ retail team. She will work on managing the firm’s growing portfolio of retail assets. At Intu, she spent four years as assent manager of the company’s UK portfolio of shopping centres.
