Hines has appointed Logan Smith to the newly created role of head of logistics for Europe.
Smith, who is based in Amsterdam, is joining Hines from Amsterdam-based Aevitas Property Partners, where he was a managing director.
Before that, he was head of logistics and industrial at BNP Paribas Real Estate, and previously served as chief investment officer for P3 Logistic Parks.
He was also previously head of European acquisitions and dispositions at Prologis.
Smith will take a lead role in growing the sector for Hines in Europe in close cooperation with the firm’s dedicated country teams, identifying opportunities with a range of industrial product types in key and emerging markets.
His role will take effect on 1 July, and he will be based at Hines’s Amsterdam office.
