Hines picks up phase two of Dublin mixed-use portfolio

Hines has bought the second phase of the Chatham & King mixed-use portfolio in Dublin city centre.

The asset, which includes six residential units, five retail units totalling 16,000 sq ft and 26,500 sq ft of office space, is adjacent to Grafton Street and St Stephen’s Green.

The office space is to be occupied by data analytics company Qualtrics, while Hines said it was in “advanced” negotiations on the retail spaces.

Peter Lynn, director at Hines Ireland, said: “We are delighted to make this timely announcement as Dublin city centre continues to reopen and as Chatham Street itself has recently undergone a significant transformation with Dublin City Council’s high-quality pedestrianisation programme.

“Chatham & King is a very high quality addition to this historic street and our new premium retail spaces will represent a significant enhancement to the city’s most fashionable shopping district.”

The shop spaces range from 495 sq ft to 12,680 sq ft and existing tenants include clothing chains Zara and H&M.
