House of Fraser has decided against the sale and leaseback of some of its 50 department stores.
It decided that it was unnecessary because the company was not strapped for cash and did not need to do anything.
It has no plans for any more large projects following the opening of an outlet at the Bluewater Centre in Kent and following a £20m investment in a new distribution centre in Milton Keynes.
