Hollywood Bowl has said it is on track to open 10 to 14 new venues by 2024.
The UK’s largest tenpin bowling operator said it was optimistic for the year ahead, despite revenue falling by £8m to £71.9m over the year. Group profit after tax was up, however, from £1.4m to £1.7m.
Hollywood Bowl said it was sitting on £30m of cash, thanks to an equity placing in March, and could “move quickly to capitalise on organic and acquisition opportunities”.
It will open four sites next year – two new Hollywood Bowls, including Resorts World in Birmingham, and two Puttstars centres – and plans to refurbish between five and seven other sites.
