Home Property butters Toast plan

The Home Property Group has submitted plans for a major mixed-use redevelopment of The Toast Rack, the former Manchester Metropolitan University Hollings Campus in Fallowfield, Greater Manchester.

The proposals include a 210-unit PRS scheme; 20,000 sq ft of gym and leisure facilities, 7,000 sq ft of shops, including an independent artisan coffee shop, and associated co-working spaces for use by residents and the public.

The residential scheme will comprise one-, two-, three- and four-bedroom flats.

Around two acres of the proposed amenity space will include a covered winter garden with play areas for children, a rooftop garden on top of The Toast Rack and a courtyard garden.

The Home Property Group bought The Toast Rack in October 2014 through its subsidiary company, Estrela Properties.

The proposals were submitted by Generation, which is the Home Property Group’s UK representative and development manager.
