Home sales expected to be suppressed

LSL Property Services reported a 35% jump in pretax profit in the year ended in June, partly as a result of the high level of sales in Q1 as buyers sought to beat changes to stamp duty.

Residential sales are expected to remain suppressed in the second half of the year, following the Brexit vote, chairman Simon Embley said.

Revenue rose by 8% as income from lettings and financial services increased.
