Homes England unveils its 19-strong property panel

Homes England has confirmed 19 firms have made the cut on its new, expanded property panel.

Colliers, Knight Frank and GVA are among eight new appointments on Homes England’s property framework, which is valued at £150m.

The 19 companies will be in place for a four-year term, until 2022.

Homes England, the government’s affordable housing public body, was founded on 1 January 2018 to replace the Homes and Communities Agency.

Of the 19 companies, 11 served on the previous 13-strong panel, which had been in place since 2014. Existing members that have retained their places include Carter Jonas, CBRE and Savills UK.

Meanwhile, two have lost their spots on the panel – Capita Property & Infrastructure (and GL Hearn) and the Valuation Office Agency’s specialist property arm DVS.

Stephen Kinsella, executive director for land at Homes England, said: “The framework gives us speedy and easy access to a range of skilled consultants who understand our needs. It will help us create strong working relationships with a wide range of companies which can provide valuable, professional and technical advice and expertise to Homes England – helping to accelerate housing development, deliver value for money and provide great places to live.”

The appointed companies will cover all areas of England and support Homes England on the construction and development of new homes. They will be responsible for the marketing of sites to developers, site evaluations, estate management and acquisitions and disposals.

They will also advise on local markets, viability, investment and strategic planning issues and help create new development models and partnering arrangements.
