Hong Kong will continue to be a factor in the London property marketafter this week’s handover of the former colony to China.
Lorna Vestey of Knight Frank said Hong Kong Chinese had played a bigpart in the recovery of the central London property market over the pastyear.
Jonathan Seal of Hamptons International said sales over the past yearhad been due largely to the handover. The Hong Kong Chinese made up 65% ofsales over the past year. “We expect interest in the London market to goup after the handover.”
