Hornsey depot revamp unveiled

Hornsey-Depot-570

Tony Pidgley’s Berkeley Group and Sainsbury’s have unveiled their vision for the former Hornsey depot, N8.

Plans for the redevelopment of the site on Hornsey High Street comprise 438 homes, including 168 affordable units, a 34,900 sq ft supermarket, 3,800 sq ft shop, two live/work spaces and 114 car parking spaces.

The five-acre scheme was sold to Berkeley subsidiary St James Group in February after landowners Haringey council and Sainsbury’s failed to agree a deal to sell to residential developer London Square.

Subject to planning, construction will start in the spring and finish in 2017.
