Hortons submits plans for Toyota’s fleet management centre

Property company Hortons has lodged proposals for Toyota Material Handling UK’s new fleet management centre in Leicestershire.

The development spans 175,000 sq ft of purpose-built facility at Old Dalby Business Park, where Toyota has been based for over 20 years. The building will replace a former Ministry of Defence warehouse with production and workshop space, offices, indoor and outdoor storage, and a secure yard.

If approved, the building will be operational by Q1 2027.

Hortons has also submitted a planning application for a speculative facility, measuring 25,000 sq ft, on an adjacent plot as part of its ongoing investment in Old Dalby, a 39-acre business park, located between Leicester, Nottingham, and Loughborough.

Jeremy Boothroyd of Hortons said: “The new centre will deliver modern, sustainable industrial space that will enhance Toyota’s operational efficiency and support its growth plans. It’s one of several projects which are improving the quality of accommodation across Old Dalby Business Park.”
