Hotel deals book up in Ireland

hotel-room-generic-THUMB.jpegThe first quarter of 2015 has seen the highest quarterly volume of hotel sales ever achieved in Ireland.

Some 25 properties changed hands across 17 transactions, resulting in total sales of more than €500m.

A number of deals are still underway, including one for the Crystal Collection, which comprises seven hotels with a combined 835 bedrooms. CBRE is marketing the portfolio.

Paul Collins, executive director at the hotel and licensed division of CBRE, said: “Sixty-four hotel sales concluded in Ireland in 2014, totalling more than €422.5m, compared to 33 hotel sales totalling €160m in 2013. We expect 2015 to be the busiest year on record for hotel transactions in Ireland”.
