Hotel du Vin plans to open in Henley-on-Thames

Hotel du Vin is planning to open a seventh property, in a former brewery in Henley-on-Thames.

The group is enjoying a growth in popularity of boutique hotels which are opening in what the Financial Times describes as unlikely places throughout the country.

Britain’s tourist industry is set to launch a Sector Skills Council to help shake off a “Fawlty Towers” image. The national tourism deficit rose from £15bn to £17bn last year.
