Plans have been lodged to convert former Ministry of Defence offences at 3-5 Great Scotland Yard, SW1, into a hotel.
The Crown Estate and Sansar Investments want to build a 234-bedroom “budget boutique hotel”.
In a separate, but linked, application the pair also want to convert the Piccadilly Backpackers hostel at 12 Sherwood Street, W1, into offices.
The Crown’s longer-term intention is to submit an application to Westminster city council later this year for the residential conversion of 12 Sherwood Street.
CBRE is advising on planning.
