Hotel rumours played down

GLH Hotel Management has played down rumours The Tower hotel, in London, might be demolished and the site redeveloped.

The speculation came as GLH, which owns the Guoman and Thistle Hotels brand, announced it would scrap the unloved and unrecognised Guoman brand. It means five of London’s best-known hotels, including the Cumberland, the Royal Horseguards and The Tower, will be rebranded. The business will launch three new hotel brands this year and Thistle will be expanded.
