Housebuilder Antler targets £30m land spree

Housebuilder Antler Homes is looking to ramp up its South East portfolio with a target to spend £30m on site acquisitions next year.

The luxury regional housebuilder has a goal to build 250 homes a year from 2023.

It is seeking new sites across Surrey, Sussex, Hampshire and Berkshire.

Antler Homes works with both consented and unconsented land alongside owners to improve permissions, optimise land values and enter into joint ventures to develop schemes.

Managing director Andrew Rinaldi said: “Our customers seek alternatives to the high-volume, often standardised product on offer from many of the national players.

“There is a huge opportunity for smaller, bespoke housebuilders producing a more unique product, better suited to the local areas we operate in.”

Antler Homes has a 40-year history of developing high-end family homes in the regions from its headquarters in Bagshot, Surrey.

Former Taylor Wimpey director Rinaldi co-led Literacy Capital’s acquisition of Antler Homes in 2018. He was subsequently appointed managing director to grow the new business.

Antler has now completed sales on the legacy sites and under Rinaldi acquired new schemes in South Chailey, East Sussex and Sherborne St John, Hampshire.
