Housebuilding up across country

The rest of the country outside London is seeing rising levels of housebuilding activity.

The National House Building Council said the number of new homes being registered was at its highest since 2007.

Registrations totalled 107,017 between January to September, which was a 6% increase on last year. Strong growth was recorded in the north east, Yorkshire and Humberside and the west midlands.
