Care homes developer and operator Housing 21 has submitted plans for a 104-bed retirement village in Sunderland.
Proposals for the land on the corner of Faber Road and Carley Hill Road in Southwick, also include 30 bungalows, a shop, a hairdressers and a restaurant.
Subject to planning permission from Sunderland city council, the Shuttleworth Picnett & Associates-designed scheme is due for completion in November 2014.
