Housing action plan for Ireland due

An action plan for Ireland’s housing sector, expected to be unveiled today, will include supported accommodation for the homeless as well as measures targeting developers, first-time buyers and landlords.

Provisions for the elderly will include plans to adapt their homes to enable them to continue living independently.

There will also be up to 1,500 rapid-build homes, as well as a scheme to purchase pre-market houses.
