The shortfall between housing demand and the number of homes being constructed is set to intensify over the coming year, the National Association of Estate Agents warns.
Mark Hayward, NAEA’s managing director, expects the upcoming election to be key, and notes all the main parties are pledging the construction of more houses should they prove successful. He warns, however, that “we currently don’t have the resources to respond to the problem.”
