Regional property investor and developer Howard Group has signed Papworth Trust at Unity Campus in Sawston, Cambridgeshire.
The charity, which supports disabled people, their families and carers, has agreed a five-year lease on 3,990 sq ft of ground floor space in the Iconix 1 building.
The space will serve as a South Cambridgeshire Day Opportunities service centre, supporting disabled people. A dedicated outdoor area will be made available for the trust’s use following planned landscaping works.
Katherine Friend, director for investment and asset management at Howard, said: “We are thrilled to provide Papworth Trust with an affordable, perfectly sized, and well-located new home at Unity Campus. As a charity dedicated to supporting disabled people to live independent and fulfilling lives, their work is invaluable to the community.”
Gail Williams, service manager at Papworth Trust, said: “We were looking for somewhere that could offer us long-term stability, is spacious both inside and out, and offered good links to the wider local community – and Unity Campus achieves this perfectly.
“From this location we’ll be able to support our disabled customers to increase their independence, deliver skills-based activities within the community as well as exploring volunteering and work opportunities.”
