Conservative mayor Andy Street has warned the PM not to inflict a “hammer blow” on the economy of the West Midlands by cancelling or scaling back HS2.
The West Midlands mayor said that his position on the rail-link had “only hardened”, adding “HS2 could make or break the future of the West Midlands”.
