Hughes Ellard storms M27 leaderboard

Hughes Ellard has stormed the Estates Gazette M27 office agents leader board. The south of England specialist doubled its market share of disposals in the 12 months to the end of August boosting it from third place last year to first place this year, according to Estates Gazette Regional Office Research.

The agent signed 182,000 sq ft of space in 40 deals, securing a third of all space signed for in the M27 corridor.

Lambert Smith Hampton held on to its second placing and Vail Williams crept up the league table from fifth place in 2012 to third this year. Together the top three agents secured three-quarters of all space let.

The M27 market overall dropped by 8% with total space transacted of 572,000 sq ft. Overall, occupiers took less space in smaller deals with the average deal size standing at just over the 3,000 sq ft mark.
