Hunter sets up fund to expand property interests

Tom Hunter has set up a £300m fund with Bank of Scotland (BoS) to expand his property interests.

The Scottish entrepreneur’s West Coast Capital private equity vehicle will contribute the bulk of the equity to the fund with BoS, estimated at about £60m.

The private equity group’s primary focus will remain on property and retail investments. West Coast retains its 7% stake in House of Fraser and is “reviewing its options”.
