Motorola is expected to announced today it is taking over Hyundai’s shelved semiconductor factory in Dunfermline, Fife, in Scotland.
Huyundai stopped construction nearly two years ago after investing £250m because of a downturn in the chip market.
It is not yet clear whether Motorola will integrate all its Scottish and UK operations at the Dunfermline plant.
