ICI Estates has put the Great Mills unit at Western Approach, north Bristol, on the market for around £15.5m in the first disposal at the chemical giant’s massive distribution park.
Best bids for the 23,225 (250,000 sq ft) building, let to the DIY firm for 25 years at £53.82 per sq m (£5 per sq ft) are due at the end of this week. A handful of institutions are understood to be interested in buying the property.
King Sturge investment partner Chris Ireland, who is advising ICI, says the company plans to sell all its future developments at the 54.6 ha (135 acre) site.
In April drinks manufacturer Matthew Clarke became the second occupier at the park when it acquired a 7.01 ha (17.5 acre) plot to develop its own 28,241 sq m (304,000 sq ft) distribution centre.
